Assembly

  1. Foam pads have been placed on two crossbars to protect the hull of your boat. The third crossbar has no foam; it is called the kickbar.

  2. Slide crossbar ends into ends of wheel assemblies. Snap buttons will “pop” out of the retaining holes when crossbars are properly seated.

  3. When both crossbars are firmly in wheel assemblies, pull kickbar downward. Kickbar tension can be adjusted by tightening lock nuts on either end.

  4. The kickbar will keep the cart upright while you set the boat on the cart. It is designed to swing out of the way of obstacles.

Placing Heavy Lifter on Your Boat

  1. Set the cart next to the boat. Pick up one end of the boat and place the boat on the cart, near the center of boat. Experiment with your boat to find the best spot to place the cart.

  2. Pass a “cam buckle” strap (not included) around one leg of the cart. Do NOT use bungee cords.

  3. Take strap over the top of the boat to the other side.

  4. Pass the strap around the opposite leg of cart and back up over the boat.

  5. Run the strap through the cam buckle and cinch tightly. Often one strap is enough; use two if portaging rough terrain.

  6. When you arrive at your destination simply remove the strap, lift boat off cart, disassemble and stow cart.
